Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education, visited SCCL
Minister for Education Chan Chun Sing visited Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) on 17 August 2021. He had a dialogue session with SCCL lecturers and Master Teachers to understand the centre's teacher training courses and research projects.
An online joint lecture co-organised by SCCL and EdUHK
For the sake of promoting Chinese Language education research and academic exchange and communication, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL), the Centre for Research on Chinese Language and Education (CRCLE) and the Department of Chinese Language Studies (CHL) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) co-organised a virtual joint lecture on 27th August 2021.
National Children's Story Writing Competition a Tremendous Success
Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) and the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) co-organised the "Creativity, No Boundaries!" National Children's Story Writing Competition. The online submission of the competition was closed on 30 November 2021.
SCCL organised a training course for Heartware Network
Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) recently organised the "Contrastive Analysis of English and Chinese and Its Application in Translation" training course for Heartware Network, a voluntary organisation focusing on youth work promotion.
Mother Tongue Languages Symposium 2021
The 10th Mother Tongue Languages Symposium was held on 28th August 2021. Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) participated in this annual event as a community partner.
SCCL Staff Invited as Keynote Speakers
Dr Foo Suan Fong, SCCL Executive Director, was invited to give a keynote speech on the 3rd International Research Conference on Chinese Studies.
