Minister for Education Chan Chun Sing visited Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) on 17 August 2021. He had a dialogue session with SCCL lecturers and Master Teachers to understand the centre's teacher training courses and research projects.

          The Minister listened attentively to the work plans of the centre, and encouraged the lecturers and Master Teachers to assist frontline Chinese language teachers with their own expertise. Minister Chan expressed his willingness to support the physical and mental health of teachers and students in Singapore during the pandemic and he looked forward to the centre supporting the professional growth of Chinese teachers.

          After the meeting, Dr Foo Suan Fong, Executive Director and Mr Chong Leong Chin, Deputy Executive Director accompanied Minister Chan to inspect the centre. The Minister continued to care about the work of various departments and interacted with the staff.
