2024 MOE-NIE-SEAB-SCCL Sharing Forum
The annual "MOE-NIE-SEAB-SCCL Sharing Forum" was held at Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) on 30 July 2024.

SCCL Conducted Training for Preschool Principals from Zhejiang
From 14 to 25 October 2024, a delegation of 28 preschool principals from Zhejiang Wenzhou participated in a two-week early childhood education training programme at Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL).

The Award Ceremony for "2024 National Vlog Competition for Singapore Primary School Students"
The award ceremony for the "2024 National Vlog Competition for Singapore Primary School Students" was held at the Ministry of Education Edutorium on 23 August, attracting around 250 guests, including award-winning students and their parents, school representatives, and members of the public.

The 5th Joint Seminar Co-organised by SCCL and EdUHK
The fifth "Joint Seminar by Famous Chinese Education Scholars" co-organised by Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) and The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) was held on 17 October 2024.

SCCL Academic Lecture Series
On 20 November 2024, Dr Wen Yun, Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, delivered a lecture titled "Empowering Multimodal Feedback with Generative AI: A Case Study on Chinese Vocabulary Learning" at the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL).

Associate Professor Cheong Choo Mui from The University of Hong Kong Visited SCCL
On 7 August 2024, Assoc Prof Cheong Choo Mui from The University of Hong Kong delivered a talk titled "Online Reading Study and Its Follow-Up Results" at the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL).

Mother Tongue Languages Symposium 2024
On 14 September 2024, the 13th Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) Symposium took place at Suntec Convention Centre. As a community partner, the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) showcased its resources under the theme "Learning through Reading, Growing with Joy".

Mid-Autumn Festival Parent-Child Workshop
Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) and Thumbs Up Little Junior, a preschool publication under SPH Media's Chinese Media Group, co-organised a Parent-Child Workshop to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival at the Punggol Regional Library.

SCCL Booth for Book Sales
Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) was invited to showcase and sell its publications at the Primary 1 Orientation held at Kong Hwa School on 1 November 2024.

SCCL Staff Invited as Speaker
Dr Foo Suan Fong, Executive Director of Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL), delivered a speech titled "Bilingual Education in Singapore-Opportunities and Development: Reflections of an Educator" on 14 September 2024 at "The Development of Chinese Language Education in Southeast Asia: Opportunities and Prospects" symposium. Dr Cheng Wan-Ni, Dean of Early Childhood Care and Education, was invited to share her insights on picture book creation at the Chinese Reading Carnival on 26 October 2024. On 28 September 2024, Dr Han Yiting, SCCL lecturer, was invited as a keynote speaker at the 8th Singapore Early Childhood Education Chinese Symposium, where she delivered a speech titled "AI Magic Ship Piloting 101: Riding the Waves of Future Early Childhood Education". Principal Master Teacher Dr Zheng Yingjiang was invited to share her insights on "The 'Secret' between Schematic Play and Children's Chinese Language Acquisition" at the 2024 Mother Tongue Languages Symposium (MTLS) on 14 September 2024. She was also invited to deliver a speech on "The Nurturing Early Learners Framework 2022: Interpretation and Exploration of Teachers' Practices Related to the Updated Content of Preschool Chinese Language Teaching and Learning" at the NIEC Conference 2024 held on 17-18 October 2024.

SCCL Activities
As part of this year's learning journey, SCCL staff visited the Ministry of Education (MOE) Heritage Centre on 9 October 2024.
