Learning Journey to MOE Heritage Centre

        As part of this year's learning journey, SCCL staff visited the Ministry of Education (MOE) Heritage Centre on 9 October 2024. The visit offered an opportunity for colleagues to explore a range of exhibits that showcased the pivotal roles played by the government, missionaries, and merchants in the establishment of early schools in Singapore. Through the detailed displays, staff gained a deeper understanding of how these groups contributed to shaping the country's education system, particularly in its formative years. The experience provided valuable historical context and underscored the collaborative efforts that helped lay the foundation for Singapore's modern education system.
