Book launch of "5E Add-on Children's Picture Books"
On 13 May 2023, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) organised a book launch of "5E Add-on Children's Picture Books". The series is supported by the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism. It was created and designed by Dr Cheng Wan-Ni, the Dean of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Department of SCCL, together with illustrators Ang Minjia and Nicole Tay. The series includes six books -- The Animals' Picnic, Mozzie Finds a New Home, The Journey of Little Stone, A Hug for You!, My Blankie, and Ah-Choo!, which are unique representations of Singapore.
2023 MOE-NIE-SEAB-SCCL Sharing Forum

From 19 June to 24 June 2023, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) conducted the "Professional Certificate in Teaching of Chinese as a Second Language" programme for 17 Chinese language teachers from two international schools in Indonesia.
The 4th Online Joint Seminar Co-Organised by SCCL and EdUHK
To strengthen academic exchanges in Chinese education research between Singapore and Hong Kong, the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL), and the Centre for Research on Chinese Language and Education as well as the Department of Chinese Language Studies of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) co-organised an on-line seminar on the afternoon of 5 May 2023.

On 22 May 2023, Master Teacher Tang Chun Chieh received the 2023 May Day Comrade of Labour Award from Mr Ng Chee Meng, Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).
SCCL Staff Invited as Speaker
On 26 April 2023, Dr Zhang Limei, Dean of Academic Affairs from Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) was invited by the Curriculum Planning & Development Division (CPDD), Ministry of Education, to give a keynote speech in the Expert Lecture with the theme of "Technology in Education".
