Chinese New Year Celebration and Staff Bonding Session

        On 9 February 2026, the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) held its Chinese New Year celebration. The event kicked off with a spectacular lion dance performance, followed by Executive Director Dr Foo Suan Fong's speech, in which he extended his New Year's greetings to everyone. SCCL staff enthusiastically took part in the Lo Hei sessions, symbolising continuous good fortune and thriving careers. The celebration also featured fun games as well as lucky draws with generous prizes, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. The event brought all staff together to welcome the Year of the Horse, ushering in the new year with happiness and cheers.

        Following the Chinese New Year celebration, SCCL hosted a fun-filled staff bonding session. SCCL staff enthusiastically took part in a variety of interactive games, including a treasure hunt, an initial-letter word-guessing challenge, a ping-pong relay race, and the "Shared Brain" team activity. These engaging games not only brought laughter and excitement but also strengthened the bonds among staff. The afternoon concluded on a high note, leaving everyone energised and more closely connected as they welcomed the new year.
