Jointly organised by the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) and the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC), the "Story Writing Competition on Singapore Chinese Culture" received an enthusiastic response. The online submission of the competition was closed on 31 January 2026, with more than 200 entries received.

       After a rigorous evaluation by the panel of judges, the list of winners has been finalised and published on SCCL Website. Winners of the First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize, as well as seven Excellence Awards have been selected. All winners will receive cash prizes, a trophy, and a certificate in recognition of their achievements. The winning entries will be compiled into Chinese graded readers. Each secondary school will receive complimentary sets of the graded readers. Teachers can use the readers to cultivate students' interest in Chinese culture and Chinese language reading.

       The Award Presentation will be conducted at The 8th International Conference on Teaching and Learning of Chinese as a Second Language, organised by SCCL on 8 September 2026 (Tue). The Chinese Graded Reader will also be launched at the event.
