Memorandum of Understanding for Overseas Internships with National Hsinchu University of Education, Taiwan

A team of four representatives from the National Hsinchu University of Education, Taiwan, visited the SCCL on 28th August 2012 and signed a Memorandum of Understanding for overseas internships with the SCCL.

Dr. Chin Chee Kuen, Executive Director of SCCL, extended his warm welcome to the team from Taiwan, and Ms. Yang Silin, Assistant Manager of SCCL's Strategic Planning Department, briefed the visitors on the establishment and development of SCCL, as well as its core business and its collaborations with various overseas partners. This was followed by a discussion between the visiting team and Dr. Chin as well as Dr. Tan Chee Lay, Deputy Executive Director of SCCL, on the specific areas of collaboration. The visit concluded with the signing of the memorandum and exchange of souvenirs.

Both SCCL and National Hsinchu University of Education, Taiwan, strive to promote researches in the teaching of Chinese as a second language and aspire to enhance the quality of pre-school education. The signing of the understanding signifies the beginning of the close ties between the two organizations based on these common objectives and provides a platform for undergraduates and graduate students from National Hsinchu University of Education, Taiwan, to do their internship in Singapore schools under special arrangements with the SCCL.
