In May 2025, the exchange group from the Master of Education in Teaching Chinese as an International Language Programme, School of Education and Languages, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), visited the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) under the leadership of Programme Leader Dr Lam Man Fong Cindy, and Senior Lecturer Dr Ng Hung Wai Rex.
Prof Lan Yu-Ju from Taiwan Normal University Visits SCCL for Lectures and Professional Guidance
Professor Lan Yu-Ju, Research Chair Professor in the Department of Chinese as a Second Language at Taiwan Normal University, has been invited to be an overseas research consultant for Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL). She visited SCCL from 28 to 30 April 2025 to conduct a three-day advisory session.
The 6th Joint Seminar Co-organised by SCCL and EdUHK
The sixth "Joint Seminar by Famous Chinese Education Scholars", co-organised by the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) and The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), was held at the SCCL Lecture Hall on the morning of 7 May 2025.

Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) was honoured to invite Dr Jonathon Reinhardt from University of Arizona to conduct a seminar and an online professional sharing session on 14-15 May 2025.
SCCL Staff Invited as Speaker
Dr Foo Suan Fong, Executive Director of Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL), was invited to attend the ninth "Month-end Café Forum" on 25 May 2025, delivered a keynote speech titled "Chinese Language Teaching in the Age of AI: Opportunities and Challenges". Dr Zhang Limei, Dean of Academic Affairs of SCCL, was invited to attend the "10th International Conference on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language: Discipline Formation and Development" on 28 May 2025 and delivered a research report titled "The Effect of Metacognitive Instruction on Chinese Listening Comprehension and Metacognitive Awareness Among Singapore Secondary Students".
SCCL Book Booth at the Competition Site of 2025 National Chinese Challenge Finals
Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) was invited to set up a book booth at the competition site of the 2025 National Chinese Challenge finals on 26 April 2025.

Open for Submission: Story Writing Competition on Singapore Chinese Culture
To commemorate Singapore's 60th anniversary, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language and Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre co-organise the Story Writing Competition on Singapore Chinese Culture. The supporting organiser is the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning.

Four picture books published by the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) have recently been selected for the "100 Must-Read Singapore Books for Children under 12" list, recommended by the National Library Board, Singapore.
