On 16th April 2021, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) had organised an online Professional Sharing Session for all primary school Senior Teachers and Lead Teachers. The focus of this sharing session is "Effective Pedagogies on the Teaching of Chinese Language at the Primary Level".

          As the SCCL Director Dr Foo Suan Fong stated in his opening address, he encouraged more collaboration and professional conversations related to effective pedagogies on the teaching of Chinese language among Teacher Leaders from primary schools. Ms Sun Xueling, Minister of State (MOS) in the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social and Family Development graced the event as a special guest. She acknowledged the effort and contributions made by Chinese language teachers. She said, "Chinese language education is a mega project that its benefits will show when charting a path forward for an even better future for our younger generation. It takes a village to raise a child. The success of this language education depends on the full partnership between schools, families and society at-large, and which can only be promoted step by step accordingly with daily classroom teachings." She also believes that with the continuous effort put in by our Chinese language teachers, and the strong collaboration with families and society, the local Chinese language education will be able to raise to a new height.

         During the sharing session, Dr Zheng Yingjiang and Mdm Chau Sook Kuan shared on the topic of "Effective Teaching Pedagogies in Meeting the Diverse Learning Needs of Our Learners" and "The Use of E-Pedagogy in Teaching and Learning" respectively. A total of 130 participants attended the sharing session and conversed heartily with MOS Sun on varied topics pertaining to Chinese language education.
