As inclusive education gains momentum, preschool teachers are not only facilitators of learning but also key agents in supporting the development of children with special needs.This workshop will equip preschool teachers with an understanding of Singapore’s key Early Intervention (EI) service models and their target groups, clarify the teacher’s role within the EI ecosystem, and guide them in designing classroom-based EI activities. The goal is to seamlessly embed early intervention into daily teaching—achieving true inclusion through everyday practice.

Participants will be able to:

1. Understand the main types of early intervention (EI) services in Singapore and the characteristics of the children they support
2. Explain the role of preschool teachers within the EI system
3. Design micro-strategy activity sheets for early intervention within classroom teaching contexts
