This course provides a systematic exploration of Animation Pedagogy and its application to Chinese language education. Participants will delve into relevant educational theories and teaching strategies, gaining insights into the effective use of animation and online comics in the classroom. Through exposure to a wide range of educational animations and online comic resources, participants will learn practical techniques for facilitating language learning. The course will also introduce a variety of animation-related activities and projects suitable for both in-class and out-of-class settings, fostering a stimulating learning environment. To encourage collaborative learning, participants will work in groups to share ideas and discuss effective approaches to animation-based instruction. Additionally, the course will provide a basic introduction to the tools and methods of simple animation creation, empowering participants to bring their own creative ideas to life.

2. Be exposed to many educational animations, and online comics resources;
3. Understand different types of animation-related learning activities, and how they support learning;
4. Design strategies to use animations and online comics resources to teach Chinese;
5. Create simple animations to support teaching and learning.
