Abstract
Chinese characters teaching is vital of Chinese language teaching, or it can be considered as the basic component. The constraints and underlying rules for the formation of the form-sound characters contain a lot of information about Chinese culture. Knowing how Chinese characters are formed can help students improve their language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing,as well as the acquisition on Chinese culture. However, learning of the Chinese characters for foreign students is most difficult. The author summarizes some reflections on Chinese teaching based on her years of teaching experience.
