Abstract
This presentation is firstly, demonstrated the preschoolers' background of language development in Singapore through video clips. We will also explore how teachers construct perschoolers' language and learning through different activities, such as: questions, games, role-playing, picture books and storytelling. With teachers' assistance and guidance, these activities can provide preschoolers a natural, secure and free language learning environment to motivate their interests and build their confidence in using Mandarin and in turn, to reach the goal of learning Mandarin joyfully and creatively.
