Objectives / Outcome of PD Activity
This module is in line with the recommendations of the 2010 Mother Tongue Language Review Committee Report and is specially designed for primary school CL teachers. By the end of the module, the participants will be able to:
1. Acquire the basis theories and the fundamental concepts of Inquiry-based Learning.
2. Equip with the implementation principles and the effective strategies of Inquiry-based learning.
3. The implementation and the evaluation of the effectiveness of CL lessons in the Inquiry-based learning mode.
Course Content / Synopsis
The course covers the following contents:
1. The concepts and the theories of Inquiry-based Learning (IBL).
2. The approaches and the strategies in planning and implementing IBL.
3. Effectively combining IBL with CL Curriculum.
4. Evaluating IBL projects and assignments.
