The Certificate/Diploma in Quantitative Language Research Programme aims to equip Chinese Language teachers with the necessary understanding and skills so as to enable them to conduct quantitative studies with the ultimate goal of enhancing their students’ learning of Chinese Language. As part of the programme, the present module introduces the participants to the design of measurement tools in school-based research.
At the end of this course, the participants will have a basic understanding of:
1.The general principles of design of measurement tools used in school-based research
2.The design of questionnaires used in school-based research
3.The design of tests used in school-based research
4.How to conduct relevant data analysis related to measurement tool development.
5.Designing appropriate questionnaires and tests used in the school-based research.
