Course Objective

Course supported by CPDD.
The Certificate in Teaching of Chinese consists of five modules. It aims to equip participants with relevant teaching and assessment strategies to teach Chinese Language more effectively and efficiently in the bilingual environment of Singapore.
Participants will be able to:
1. Master the key concept of teaching Chinese Language as second language in the context of Singapore.
2. Master the teaching principles of teaching Chinese Language as second language in the context of Singapore through relevant examples.
2.1 Process: learning construction.
2.2 Objective: communicative competence.
2.3 Products: language skills.
3. Apply and reflect the teaching strategies of teaching Chinese Language as second language in the context of Singapore.
3.1 Application of listening, oral, reading and writing teaching strategies, examples and reflection.
