Course Objective

Course supported by CPDD.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1.Understand the meaning and key characteristics of the “formative assessment”.
2.Understand the difficulties encountered in impementing formative assessment, and discuss possible solutions.
3.Conduct data collection for assessments with commonly ICT tools.
4.Analyze the correlation between data and students' learning outcomes.
5.Opeate iMTL platform joining with formative assessment.

Course Outline

The course includes the following:
1.Difficulties and possible solutions to the formative assessment of Chinese language teaching.
2.An ICT-based environment of formative assessment that facilitates continuous tracking of learners.
3.Establishing formative assessment with immediate feedback to strengthen Chinese listening skills.
4.Establishing formative assessment with immediate feedback to strengthen Chinese listening and speaking skills.
5.How data collected by ICT can improve learning outcomes.
6.The practice of formative assessment illustrated by operating iMTL.
