By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1.Understand what is multimodal storytelling for critical thinking, i.e. engaging students in creating and refining a mulimodal story with images and narrations, and crtically co-examining their views and stands in the story.
2.Understand its design principle, classroom enactment and assessment.
3.Understand teachers' role as facilitators, relevant strategies and practice.
4.Understand the strategies and practice of developing critical thinking.
5.Master the relevant ICT tools.
The course includes the following:
1.An intoduction to the concept and practice of multimodal storytelling for critical thinking, i.e., engaging students in creating and refining a multimodal story with images and narrations, and crtically co-examining their views and stands in the story.
2.Hands-on practice on the softwares for visual storytelling.
3.Examination of and disucssion on the exemplary case .
4.Discussion on the relevant design principles, teachers' role and activities, and assessment.
