By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1.Select the classic prose for their courses to preserve literary and cultural heritage.
2.Identify key points of the classic prose for appreciation.
3.Help students to develop writing frames.
4.Work on the creative writing by imitating the classic models.
5.Design teaching activities to connect reading and writing.
Course Content / Synopsis
The course includes the following:
1.Introduction to the four classic prose themes: sense experience, argument, character sketches, and life views.
2.Prose appreciation revolving around reading.
3.The development of writing frames.
4.Partial and comprehensive imitative writing.
5.Design teaching activities to connect reading and writing.
